This lovely old mansion is centrally located within 1.5km of the GPO and is just 500 meter walk from the famous North Hobart Gourmet Strip which houses some twenty or more restaurants with some of Hobart's better known eating establishments.

The Elms is one of Hobart's landmark National Trust-listed mansions designed by Bernard Walker, the pre-eminent architect in Tasmania in the early 1900s. It is entered in the Register of the National Estate as an outstanding example of a large house of World War I vintage
